Ikoma is a young man who works on trains that transport people into protected cities. Luckily, the Kabane's do have a weakness in their steel hearts. These creatures are able to easily rip through the flesh of humans and once they bite a human, they rise from the dead and join the ranks of the Kabane. The world has been ravaged by creatures called Kabane. Both girls are unaware of things going on around them and we get to learn about everything that is going on through their eyes.
Another thing the two anime have in common are the characters of Nancy and Marlya. We see Hank and the members of Dorothea have to deal with fighting against people they used to have as comrades. The stories are very similar to the super-powered soldiers dealing with life after the war. Out of all the anime, we are going to look at, Fairy Gone may just be the closest thing to Katsute Kami Datta Kemono-tachi e. Marlya must deal with politics, criminals, and fairy powered terrorists. A young girl named Marlya Noel Has just joined an organization called Dorothea that deals with fairy related crimes. Fairy Gone takes place nine years after the most recent war. Ever since they gained this power, the fairy powered humans have been used to fight and turn the tides of war.
Thanks to this procedure, humans have gained the ability to summon the fairies to fight alongside them. In order to obtain this power for their own, humans began transplanting the organs of animals into the bodies of humans. Animals have gained special abilities thanks to magical fairies that posses the animals.
